Time To Starve The GOP Beast

I really need to thank Scott Walker for opening my eyes to the GOP strategy known as "Starve The Beast." I never heard of this term till a commentator picked up on it.

So, I skipped over to wikipedia to get a quick back ground fix on the term and these excerpts caught my eye:

"Starving the beast" is a fiscal-political strategy of some American conservatives to create or increase existing budget deficits via tax cuts to force future reductions in the size of government."

"Economist Paul Krugman summarized the strategy in February 2010: "Rather than proposing unpopular spending cuts, Republicans would push through popular tax cuts, with the deliberate intention of worsening the government’s fiscal position. Spending cuts could then be sold as a necessity rather than a choice, the only way to eliminate an unsustainable budget deficit." He wrote that the "...beast is starving, as planned..." and that "Republicans insist that the deficit must be eliminated, but they’re not willing either to raise taxes or to support cuts in any major government programs. And they’re not willing to participate in serious bipartisan discussions, either, because that might force them to explain their plan — and there isn’t any plan, except to regain power."

So now the GOP game plan is crystal clear and we see it in action in Wisconsin:

1) Gov. Walker assumes power and immediately creates a budget crisises by pushing through a tax break for corporations. 2) He now decimates infrastructure spending with huge cutbacks. 3) He cripples and weakens the government to the point where Walker corporate cronies can swoop in and by state owned assets for pennies on the dollar. 4) Final result is a scorched earth policy with crippled services and natural resource transferred to corporations who are held unaccountable for their massive environmental destruction.

THE GOP is a WRECKING MACHINE, a PARASITE, a CANCER that will destroy the middle and working class and transfer the ownership of state infrastructure and natural resources to the NEW ROBBER BARONS like the Koch Brothers.

The People of Wisconsin (Badgers) have already figured out how to combat the cancer: use the same tactic on the GOP: Cut off their lifeline and boycott all businesses that have fed these cancer sores like Walker and helped him into office. In every state that is getting attacked: Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Wisconsin, residents and unions need to: 1) Take their money out of banks that support the parasitic GOP. 2) Put their money in Credit Unions. 3) Boycott the businesses any person or group supporting GOP

It is time to starve the GOP beast.
